I grew up watching Walt Disney cartoons. I always loved to see what Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, and even Goofy were going to get into. But something has struck me as odd about one character in particular, and that would be Pluto.

Ah, yes, Pluto. Faithful pet to Mickey Mouse. Man's best friend, or in this case Mouse's best friend. Always standing by Mickey's side. Playful, happy, and yet, opressed?

We clearly see, that one of Mickey's best friends, Goofy, is indeed a dog. Does he not have floppy ears? Does he not have a long snout? Yes, indeed he does. It sort of reminds me of someone else in this scenario.... Hmmmm, who could that be?....AH YES!!!!!!!!!!! PLUTO!!!!! Pluto, who is also a dog, with floppy ears, and a long snout. But what is this? Does Pluto wear clothes like Goofy?????? No. Does Pluto speak like Goofy?????? NO. But they are both dogs, right?

Can this be an exhibition of opression toward poor Pluto? Why can Mickey be friends with Goofy, a clothing wearing, talking dog, but then Mickey OWNS Pluto, a collar wearing, barking dog, who walks on all fours? I think in some way, this is an exhibition of opression.

And why does this not bother Goofy, a member of the same freakin species? We all gotta stick together! When will Goofy stand up to Mickey, and say, "hey man, let him go!"?

And you know what, I can go on this forever. But I give the floor to you, the reader. Is Pluto indeed opressed, or am I reading too much into this? And while you are thinking about Pluto the dog, also give thought to Pluto, the planet, or ex-planet for that matter. Could this Pluto be suffering planetary opression. Too many victims. But please, speak. Let's talk about this, and come to a solution. For Pluto's everywhere.

Alright, hope to hear from y'all soon. Peace, and Bambi's mom.

In the words of Moses,

"O Pharoah, Pharoah, oh baby, let my people go!"

That's the best I can say to keep it relatively clean.

Well said... Well said, indeed. Tomorrow, my new discussion piece will stick with Disney. We will discuss the story of a man, a dream, and a little puppet, who supposedly became a real boy... Or did he?

In the world of anthropomorphized animals, only the strong survive. I think Pluto's problem was more of a case of Darwinism than anything else. He was not ready to evolve to wearing clothes and talking.
Did you notice that both Goofy and Pluto, as dogs, were smaller than Big Bad Pete, who was a cat? And Goofy and Pluto did not resemble chihuahuas. And what was up with Mickey being taller than Donald? Mickey is a mouse. A mouse is not bigger than a duck. The day I see a duck-sized mouse is the day that I drive into the Grand Canyon.

So... you're saying that evolution is existant in the Disney universe?

There's a giant talking mouse that hangs out with a talking duck and a talking dog. I'd say so.

But perhaps Mickey is just suffering from "gigantisism," and Donald is suffering from uhhh... "Websterism?" And if that's so, Pluto is still suffering from what I like to call "Plutoism," ie, OPPRESSION.
